Help

This help page provides a quick tutorial on how to use PhotoGiftCoupons.com. The goal of the site is to enable you to quickly compare prices of photo gift products from a variety of photo gift retailers.

Finding and using the coupons

Part of the savings realized by utilizing PhotoGiftCoupons comes from the coupon codes that we provide. Coupon codes are provided both in the coupon listing as well as in the product listing, where applicable. To view a particular coupon, simply click on the "Get Code" or "View" buttons in the coupon and product listings, respectively. After clicking on a button:

  • A new retailer window will open for your shopping convenience
  • The associated coupon code will appear under the "Code:" or "Coupon Code:" text

Examples of coupon codes appearing in both the coupon code listing and the product listing are provided below. Coupon code appearing in the coupon listing after clicking the "Get Code" button:

After clicking the appropriate button, simply highlight and copy the coupon code that appears and enter it during checkout to receive the stated discount. Please note that further instructions about where to enter the coupon code during checkout are available on each individual retailer page, which can be accessed from the listing on the left.

Types of coupons

Coupons posted on this site come in two forms, coupon codes and coupon links. A coupon code is a code that you enter during checkout to receive the stated discount. A coupon link typically has the coupon code embedded in the link. For coupon links, the discount will be automatically applied during checkout if you shop through the retailer window that opens when clicking the "Get Code" or "View" buttons. As a result, when clicking on coupon links, no coupon code will appear. Instead, the text "See site" will appear to indicate that the coupon is a coupon link.

Please note that spyware installed on your system can sometimes prevent coupon links from working. What happens in this case is that the spyware recognizes the site that your browser is attempting to visit and substitutes a generic affiliate link in its place. In these instances, since the appropriate discount link is not being used, no discount will appear during checkout.

Coupon doesn't work?

If you find that a particular coupon code or coupon link does not work, it may be due to one of several reasons.

  • Make sure that the coupon code has been entered correctly. Since the coupon codes can be quite long, we recommend that you copy the code from above and paste it in the appropriate place in the reatiler website
  • Make sure that the order total before taxes and shipping exceeds the minimum purchase amount of the coupon
  • If you are having problems with a coupon link, it is possible that spyware installed on your system is preventing the link from arriving at the correct destination (see above)
  • It is possible that one or more of the items in your cart is not eligible for the coupon discount. Please check all restrictions for the coupon.
  • Finally, it is possible that the coupon code has expired early. Retailers sometimes pull a coupon code early depending upon customer response. As a result, we always recommend placing your order when you have finished creating your photo gift, rather than waiting until a later date. If a coupon code has expired early, please report it to us so that we can test it and remove it from our site.

Please note that PhotoGiftCoupons.com posts coupons codes for the retailers on our site as a service to you. While we test each coupon before posting it, we cannot guarantee that the coupon codes provided on this site will work. If you encounter a code that has expired early or doesn't work, please report it to us. To ensure a good user experience, we regularly test and update the coupon code list to minimize the number of erroneous codes that appear.

Using the filters

Both the coupon code listing and the product listing have filters that you can use to quickly filter each listing. To filter a listing, simply select a value from the drop-down listing. For example, if you wanted to see which retailers offered photo books, you would select "Books" from the Product filter, as illustrated. The product listing would then only display photo book products.

If you were interested only in Classic photo books, you could then select "Classic" from the Type filter, to display only classic photo books, as illustrated.

If any filter is in use, its background will be highlighted to remind you that you are only viewing a subset of the products available. As well, the product type filter only displays values when a product selected in the product filter has multiple product types.

The coupon and product listings can also be sorted by clicking the headers at the top of each column. When clicked, the listing will sort by the values in that column, and the column header will be highlighted to indicate that the listing is sorted by that column. In addition, an arrow will appear to indicate if the column is being sorted in an ascending or descending manner. If you wish to change the sort from ascending to descending (or vice-versa), simply click on the column header again. Please note that in the above pictures, the listing was sorted by "Retailer" in a descending manner.

We believe that utilizing the sorting and filtering capabilities provided will enable you to quickly find products that you may be interested in. If you have any futher suggestions as to how to improve the site, please let us know.
